BREWING GUIDE

Which Coffee Should I Use for My Brewer?

You have the beans. You have the brewer. But are they the right match? Different brewing methods extract different things from the same coffee.

The Short Answer

Pour Over

Balanced SCA 87+ with bright acidity and layered fruit complexity designed for clean extraction methods.

French Press

Smooth & Rich with caramel and cocoa notes that thrive in immersion brewing.

Espresso

Intense SCA 85+ built for pressure extraction and syrupy texture.

Cold Brew

Sweet, creamy, dessert-like flavor after long cold extraction.

“Different brewing methods reveal different personalities hidden inside the same coffee.”

Why the Match Matters

Every brewing method extracts coffee differently based on contact time, temperature, and pressure.

These variables shape acidity, sweetness, body, and aromatic complexity — changing how the same coffee feels in the cup.

Still Not Sure?

Start with Smooth & Rich SCA 84+. It is the most versatile coffee in the collection — elegant, forgiving, and consistently luxurious across every brewing method.

WHAT IS SCA SCORE?

An SCA score is a 100-point quality rating for coffee, developed by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA). Scores are assigned by certified Q Graders after a standardized tasting process called cupping. A score of 80 or higher qualifies a coffee as "specialty coffee," indicating exceptional quality and adherence to high standards.
