Ready for Your Espresso Machine or Moka Pot

Intense Ground is pre-ground at the fineness espresso machines and moka pots need, and its longer, more developed roast profile is made for these methods. For espresso, use a 1:2 ratio. For moka pot, fill the basket without pressing the coffee down, and add water up to the valve. For French press, choose Intense Whole Bean and grind it coarse: this medium-fine grind is made for espresso and moka pot.

WHAT IS A CUPPING SCORE?

A cupping score is a 100-point quality rating for coffee, on the scale developed by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA). Scores are assigned by certified Q Graders after a standardized tasting process called cupping. A score of 80 or higher qualifies a coffee as "specialty coffee," indicating exceptional quality and adherence to high standards.
